Bruce Castle Park derives its name from the estate from which it was created. The 16th century manor house hosts the Bruce Castle Museum of local history.

The park provides the public with access to gardens, conservation area, playground and free tennis courts. There is also a paddling pool in the summer and a 400 year old oak tree.
