The Bloody Tower is a World Heritage Site which was originally created by William the Conqueror in the early 1080s and was subsequently developed by successive monarchs over the centuries.

The fortress is the home of the Crown Jewels, Ravens and the scarlet uniformed Beefeaters. Entry is not free but you can get good views of the Tower from the riverbank and surrounding public footpaths.
