Chiswick House Gardens

Chiswick House Gardens in London
The gardens of the 18th century Chiswick House are inspired by classical Roman design and were created by landscape architect William Kent.

When newly created the garden was one of the first to contain statues and buildings in the style of ancient Rome. This style was copied in other great gardens such as those at Stowe and Stourhead.
